Cabinet Contruction Methods
The way your cabinets are built will also play a major role in the longevity of your cabinets. At Axis we understand this and will take all the steps required to keep your cabinets in good standing for a very long time
Dado vs. No Dado
Dado joints create a strong bond between two pieces of wood, as a result it can resist a greater amount of force without splitting or cracking. In addition, dado joints will make your cabinets stronger than non-dado cabinets and provide a cleaner interior look. At axis we build cabinet using dado grooves.
Attention to Details
We use glue and nails to hold a strong bond between the different sections of the cabinets. The process if followed up by filling in the nail holes and sanding it down to give it a smooth finish. .
Frameless vs Frames
Although we care capable of doing both face frame and frameless cabinets, the vast majority of what we do is face frame. Face frame will give you stronger overall cabinets. With face frames your size and customization options are left to what you can imagine, which is something that you are limited when it comes to frameless cabinets.
